Hi All,
Firstly, let me say a big thank you, to all of our netball community, for your understanding during this covid-19 pandemic. It has been and continues to be a frustrating time for us all. We would all like to get on and play the game that we love but unfortunately, because our large numbers of players and spectators in close confines we can’t guarantee the safety of everyone involved under the current level 2 guidelines. The time will come when we will be able to get back to netball.
Secondly the person who has led us through these trying times Jared Lock has sadly tendered his resignation to move to a new role. We are sad to see him go as he has made a big impact within our community and steered us through very difficult times. His ability to include so many members in decisions that have been made, his efficient organisation and his passion for the game have been infectious.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jared for all that he has done for us and wish him well in his future endeavours. I am sure he will stay involved with netball which is what he is passionate about and we will still get to have his input and help in managing the game we all enjoy.
The board will work through a recruitment plan and take our time to once again find a passionate, inclusive and people focussed manager for Nelson Netball Centre.
Thank you for all you have done Jared; take care, stay safe and prosperous travels on the road ahead and we look forward to your further input into improving netball in our community.
